Description Meets SOLAS requirements The GM600 meets the GMDSS requirements as defined by the international organization SOLAS for commercial ships on international voyages.   The GM600 has also been certified with a “wheel mark” (Marine Equipment Directive which is required by the European Union for commercial ships). Meets MED 2014/90/EU   Meet Strict Environmental Requirements The GM600 has passed rigorous environmental testing and quality assurance procedures. It is designed to provide reliable operation and long-term durability in harsh marine environments. It has IPX7 protection (1 m water depth for 30 minutes).   Meets ITU-R M.493-13 DSC (ITU Class A DSC) The GM600 has a dedicated DSC receiver which continuously monitors CH 70 and is independent of the main receiver or other functions. The Multi-task DSC function allows up to 7 to be displayed received and transmitted DSC messages.   A total of 100 MMSIs for DSC calls can be stored with a 10-character name.   Large 4.3 inch TFT Color LCD Screen The color TFT LCD offers user-friendly icons and design. The improved font allows for quick recognition of alphanumeric characters. You can select day and night modes depending on the lighting conditions. Delivers loud, clear sound By incorporating a new waterproof speaker, it provides us with superior sound quality and a flat frequency response with a wide range. In addition, the transceiver delivers powerful 10W sound when connected to an external speaker Easy user navigation Menu items are displayed with user-friendly icons so they can be navigated via the main dial or the up and down keys.   DC-DC converter PS-310 The optional DC-DC converter PS-310 supplies constant 12.6V power to the GM600 from either a 12V or 24V power source (depending on version) and provides a ground connection. The PS-310 protects the transceiver from momentary power failure. The PS-310 must be used with the GM600 to comply with MED certification.
