This beauty makes a perfect houseplant, brightening up any space in the home or office. Known as the Flamingo Plant, its waxy, heart-shaped leaves and the soft combination of pink and peach blooms bring a touch of tropical elegance to any setting. Anthuriums are native to tropical rainforests, which gives us clues about how to care for them. They thrive in warm, bright rooms with high humidity making bathrooms or conservatories ideal locations. Mist your plant regularly or place it on a tray of moist pebbles. Water when the top few centimetres of compost feel dry, and only repot in spring once the roots have filled the pot. Place your anthurium in a spot with bright, indirect light, but avoid direct sunshine. These plants prefer a warm environment, ideally between 15-20C, and should be kept away from draughts and radiators. Grouping plants together can also help to increase humidity around them.
